Virginia Bank a Million
Virginia Bank a Million is a lottery with a twist. You can pick how to play and what prize you want to win. Unlike other games, the advertised prize is also the amount that is paid out, with the Virginia Lottery paying the taxes.
Draws take place on Wednesday and Saturday nights at 11 PM ET. To play, you must pick six numbers from 1 to 40.
Six main numbers are randomly selected in every draw, followed by a Bonus Ball from the remaining 34 numbers. This helps to create even more prize categories.
To win a prize, you have to match at least two main numbers plus the Bonus Ball, with payouts increasing in value as more numbers are matched.
All prizes are fixed, but the payouts available depend on how much is staked per play. All wagers must add up to $2, but you can decide whether or not to enter a single set of numbers for $2 to try and win the full $1 million jackpot. The alternatives are to submit two $1 wagers for the chance to win a maximum of $500,000, or four wagers at $0.50 each for the opportunity to win up to $250,000. The jackpot does not roll over if nobody wins.

Bank a Million History
Bank a Million launched with its first draw on September 2, 2015. It replaced the previous Money Ball game that had been offered in Virginia. The format of the game has remained the same since it started.
How to Claim a Prize
Claiming a prize in Virginia is easy, but you have to do it within 180 days of the draw in which you won. The available methods for claiming depend on how much you have won.
Up to $600
You can claim prizes of up to $600 from Virginia Lottery retailers. Sometimes they may not have the funds on site to pay you out with cash, due to security reasons, but they will be able to give you a check or money order. Alternatively, you can visit a customer service center or prize zone, or mail in your signed winning ticket. You'll need to fill out the requested information on the back of the ticket so that the Lottery knows where to send the money to. The address you can mail winning tickets to is shown below:

The other option is to claim your prize in person from a customer service center - in Richmond, Harrisonburg, Hampton, Abingdon, Roanoke, Woodbridge and Farmville. You will be required to fill out a claim form for a prize of this value.
