Texas Two Step is a twice-weekly lottery in the Lone Star State where players can win hundreds of thousands of dollars, sometimes even millions.
Draws take place on Monday and Thursday night at 10:12 PM CT, with ticket sales closing ten minutes earlier on those days at 10:02 PM. The cost per play is $1.
Two Step uses a double-matrix format, so you are required to select four numbers from 1 to 35 and a Bonus Ball number from a separate set of 1 to 35.

The largest Texas Two Step jackpot was won in 2006 and it was worth $2.9 million. The grand prize was equally shared by three ticket holders: Marechia A. Faggett, Sukhjeet S. Sekhon and Roberto C. Fernandez. Two of the winning tickets were sold in Longview while the third one was sold in San Antonio.
Two Step History
The first Two Step draw took place on May 18, 2001. In April 2004, the Texas Lottery changed the draw days for Two Step from Tuesday and Friday to Monday and Thursday.
How to Claim a Prize
All Two Step prizes must be claimed within 180 days of the draw date. Find out what you need to do below, depending on the value of your win.
Up to $599
To claim a prize of up to $599, the simplest method is to take your winning Two Step ticket to a Texas Lottery retailer. Alternatively, you can go to your local claim center or mail in your ticket to the address below. A claim form is required for any prize of $25 or more.

You can claim any prize of up to $5 million by mail. Alternatively, you can visit one of the Texas Lottery's regional offices in Abilene, Amarillo, Beaumont, Corpus Christi, Dallas, El Paso, Fort Worth, Houston, Laredo, Lubbock, McAllen, Odessa, San Antonio, Tyler or Victoria, or the head office in Austin. If the prize is worth more than $2.5 million, you will have to go to one of the offices in Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, San Antonio or Austin.
