How to Play
It costs €1.50 per line to play El Gordo de la Primitiva. You need to select six main numbers from 1 to 54, plus a Key number from a second ball pool between 0 and 9. You can either choose your own numbers or ask for a random selection.
You can also play a multiple entry rather than just a single, where you pick more than the usual five main numbers. If you choose the ‘bet 6’ box, for example, you will have to select six numbers from 1 to 54, and every combination of five numbers within your chosen set of six will be entered into the draw. The cost goes up in proportion to the number of bets you make, but the odds of winning also improve. The maximum number of bets you can make on a single playslip is 462, which requires you to select 11 numbers.
Odds & Prizes
The jackpot starts at €5 million and rolls over to the following draw if nobody matches all five main numbers and the Key number. The odds of winning the top prize are 1 in 31,625,100, but you are guaranteed to get your money back just by matching the Key. The following table shows the odds of winning in each of the nine tiers and the prizes you can win.
