Cash4Life Overview
Cash for Life is a lottery played in 10 states that offers a top prize of $1,000 a day for life. See the winning Cash for Life numbers from the most recent 10 draws below.
To take part, you need to pick five main numbers from 1 to 60 plus a Cash Ball number from 1 to 4 and pay $2 per play.
Match all six numbers to win the jackpot, or match the five main numbers to win the second prize of $1,000 a week for life. Alternatively, you can choose a cash option of $7 million if you win the jackpot, or $1 million if you're a winner in the second tier.
There are seven other ways to win, starting from matching just one main number plus the Cash Ball.

Cash for Life History
Cash for Life was created by the New Jersey Lottery and the New York Lottery. Tickets initially went on sale on June 13, 2014 and the first draw was held on June 16 in New Jersey. Initially, draws took place on Monday and Thursday nights. In July 2019, Cash for Life moved to a nightly draw.
In New York, Cash for Life is the successor to the Sweet Million draw game that was available from 2009 to 2014.
There are a number of add-ons for Cash for Life, depending on the state you're playing in:
- In May 2017, New Jersey added the Doubler feature. For an extra $1, players have the chance to double any prize won except the first and second tiers.
- In November 2020, Tennessee began offering the Quick Cash add-on.
- In April 2021, Missouri added the EZ Match option.
How to Claim a Prize
Check with the state lottery where you bought the winning ticket about rules to redeem a prize; most states require you to come forward within 180 or 365 days of the draw date. Generally, prizes of $599 and below can be paid out on the spot by a retailer. For wins of $600 and up, players need to submit their ticket along with a completed claim form and identification, either in person at a lottery office or by mailing in the documents.
