Health Lottery

Health Lottery draws for the £1 game are held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, with players required to choose five main numbers from a pool of 50. In the main draw, five random numbers are chosen, then an additional Bonus Ball is drawn from the remaining 45 numbers.

The jackpot in each draw is worth at least £25,000 and does not roll over to the following draw if there is no Match 5 winner. In addition to the main prize, every draw offers a further six prizes.

This Health Lottery data includes all draws up to and including Saturday 27^th May 2023. The last Health Lottery draw number was 2,359.

Changes to The Health Lottery

The first Health Lottery draw took place in October 2011 with a weekly draw every Saturday evening. In October 2012, to mark its first anniversary, a second weekly draw was added.

In July 2012 adjustments were made to the Health Lottery prize structure. The prize for matching three numbers decreased from £50 to £20, and the prize for matching four numbers decreased from £500 to £250.

Bonus Ball was introduced in May 2013, which gave players the chance to win prizes for matching two, three or four main numbers plus the Bonus Ball. Further draws have been added to the Health Lottery in 2015 to give participants the chance to play as many as five times a week.

Throughout the history of the game there have been various Health Lottery promotions, which include Hot Ticket, Magic Monday and Second Chance Guaranteed Winner.

In July 2018, the prize structure changed to its current format, with the jackpot set at a minimum of £25,000 rather than 10% of sales. A Monthly Mega Raffle was also launched, with everyone who purchased a ticket entered automatically into the draw on the first day of the following month. The prize for matching the winning raffle code was £250,000. The Monthly Mega Raffle came to an end 18 months later, with the final draw taking place on 1st March 2020.
