UK Thunderball is drawn three times a week on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday and has a jackpot of £500,000. Players are required to match all five main numbers from a possible 39, plus one Thunderball number from a pool of 14 in order to win the jackpot. There are eight additional prizes for players who match fewer numbers.

UK Thunderball History
The first UK Thunderball draw took place in June 1999 with a five from 34 matrix for the main numbers, plus one Thunderball number from a pool of 14. The game originally took place on Wednesday and Saturday and offered a jackpot of £250,000.
In May 2010, the jackpot prize increased from £250,000 to £500,000, with a separate prize for matching just the Thunderball number. The Friday draw was also introduced at this time.
