Saturday Lotto Overview
Launched in June 1972, Saturday Lotto was the first lottery game in Australia that allowed its participants to choose their own numbers. Known as Saturday Lotto in New South Wales and Western Australia, this game has different names in other states and territories. Tasmania, Northern Territory and Victoria call it TattsLotto, Queensland refers to it as Saturday Gold Lotto, while South Australia calls it Saturday X Lotto.
In order to enter, participants must choose six numbers between 1 and 45. Two supplementary numbers are also randomly selected after the main six have been drawn.
The minimum play is four games and a ticket costs $3.40.
In order to win a prize, you must match at least three main numbers.
Every year, special Saturday Lotto draws take place, called Megadraws and Superdraws. They are organised to celebrate certain holidays or just offer more chances for participants to win.
Saturday Lotto Megadraws usually happen annually to celebrate Christmas and New Year. The top prize is raised to $30 million or even more, regardless of whether the jackpot in the previous draw was won.
Saturday Lotto Superdraws also take place several times a year and have a jackpot of $20 million. Besides the size of the jackpot, the Superdraws are exactly the same as regular draws.

Saturday Lotto Odds and Prize Divisions
The minimum Saturday Lotto jackpot is approximately $5 million, however this can vary slightly depending on the number of tickets that were sold. The Division 1 prize can be jackpotted up to four times and there is no jackpot cap. In case no one wins the top prize, it will be distributed to winners in the next prize tier.

How to play Saturday Lotto
Entering Saturday Lotto is quick and simple. You must select six numbers between 1 and 45. Then, choose how many plays you want to enter, depending on the method of entry. For example, if you enter a manual entry or Quick Pick, you need to select four games. However, if you play a System Entry, you only need to fill in one of them. The last step is choosing the number of draws you want to enter. You can enter between 1 and 10 consecutive draws.

Quick Pick/Slikpik
With this option, you can forget about having to manually select your numbers. This is the most common type of entry and it will randomly choose six numbers for you, ready for the next draw.
Marked entry
This option allows you to choose the six numbers yourself. Whether you want to choose birthdays or other significant dates as inspiration, you have complete freedom to select those numbers that you think will bring you the next jackpot.
System entry
A System entry means you have to choose between 7 and 20 numbers and purchase a ticket covering every six-number combination with that range.
